I’m back!


Hi Friends!

Here I am again, after a much longer break than I initially anticipated. I was planning on a week, then I pushed it to two, then I took another! I must say, that while I missed you all a TON, it was pretty amazing not worrying about posting late at night, and spending weekends working on posts.

Life is busy (as it is for everyone) and I find my blog becoming less of a priority. I’m really trying to focus on my job as well as continue to eat healthy, workout and have a lot of fun/continue to explore LA in the process!

I thought a lot about whether I should even continue blogging, but at the end of the day I love it too much to stop completely. So I’ll just be posting less frequently. This is where I need some help. I want you all to help me decide what posts I should focus on moving forward. They are after all, for you!

What kinds of posts would you like to see moving forward? I’ve listed the general types/topics so please let me know. If there is anything new you would like to see, I’d love to hear it!

    Hey Emily! Missed ya! Glad you popped in, and even though your blog is (understandably) not your focus right now, it’s good to hear that everything is going well for you! I’m learning that healthy living was more about just doing the damn thing and moving on with life rather than posing for and posting a million pictures of it. I can totally empathize with your “to stop or keep blogging” debate! Doing it only when it fits in with your life ( as opposed to the other way around) is definitely the way to go. Takes SO much of the stress off! Keep exploring, keep eating (still jealous of your access to TJs!!!)…and just fill us in when you have the time and passion!

    welcome back! i’ve noticed a lot of bloggers feeling the pull to step back from their blogs a bit lately (me included). i think it’s about finding the balance and remembering to put life first!

    Welcome back! Good for you for taking a break. As a new(er) blogger, I am amazed at just how much work it is to keep it up-to-date. While I love my blog and the creative writing outlet it’s given me, I feel like I’m constantly working on it, even though I only post 2-3 times a week! I completely agree with Faith… blog when it fits your schedule; we’ll all be here to read :)

    I’m glad you’re back! Though, I do understand how easy it is to put pressure on yourself to get blog posts up frequently. I think scaling back is perfectly fine- quality over quantity!

    So glad to see you around these parts! :) Seriously though, I completely understand where you are coming from. As someone who used to feel pressure to post every day, I finally had to let go of my perfectionist tendencies and realize that just blogging itself is enough. It’s something I love to do, so why not do it when I’m inspired rather than feeling forced? Cheers to the new philosophy – I love all your content so am looking forward to whatever you write about in the future!

    Yay! I’m so glad you are back! I’m sure your break was really nice, sometimes life just gets to be too much and you have to scale back for awhile! But, I’ve missed you!

    Welcome back!! I think everyone’s blogging schedule is different. For me, 3 times a week is something I can manage. Although I wish it were more, I still believe in quality over quantity :)

    Welcome back! Way to stay true to yourself. I think you should definitely keep blogging, but choose what you like the best. Lately I’ve Been…is definily one of my faves.
