making veggie burgers…totally unlike me as I really enjoy the real deal but I had some leftover lentils in the freezer and just took it from there. I accidentally made it into hummus. So I added more beans. Then I added brown rice. Then it was just right, though crumbly. And good! (Lentils + 1 egg + celery + onion + white beans + brown rice + spices)

eating doro wat. Go make this Ethiopian Chicken Stew, it is amazing!

reading Where’d You Go, Bernadette and Beautiful Ruins (and others that weren’t as good)

loving bananas. I go through weird phases because sometimes I feel sick after eating them but lately I can’t get enough of them with some peanut or almond butter.

yeah monning in Jamaica. SO fun!

eating WAY too much dairy. It’s a slippery slope. I try to limit it to a few servings a day but it’s been out of control lately.

eating an amazing burger at Plan Check. Dare I say it is my new favorite? (That is ketchup leather!)

desperately wanting the new “magic denim” from Madewell. I need.

craving fall food. I’m so over the summer.

needing to make Chipotle at home…

traveling to Wisconsin and Minnesota for The Great Baby Tour II and to visit my family (twice in two weeks!). I also got to see our godson again (I’m majorly obsessed) and have dinner with the girls at Tilia.

enjoying my Dad’s garden each time I go home. I went and picked vegetables for about an hour last time I visited. Three words: hot, bugs, jealous.

What have you been up to lately?

Yup! Was just there in December with my family. So beautiful and such a great place! Loved the Jerk chicken man (and the jerk chicken)

Yes, it was really cool, it kind of protects the bun from dissolving too.

LOVE Ethiopian food! I SO want a good banana right now, but every single time I’ve bought any at the co-op lately, they get super brown and gross within a day or two. Aren’t they always in season?!

Hope your vacation was amazing! I relax just looking at that pic :)

I read Beautiful Ruins a few months ago and loved it! Your Jamaica picture is making me jealous. It would have made me more jealous if it was February, though.

I love Ethiopian food especially the partially fermented bread. Cant really recall the name but it goes well with the Doro Wat Chicken stew.

If I’m honest, I’m not the biggest fan of lentils… but those burgers look great! I can try to find an alternative to add to it instead, because store bought burgers just don’t cut it.
    Thank you!

I’m sorry…”I’m so over the summer”? Ok, you’ve officially been living in LA too long. :) I’m having a dairy obsession lately, too. I mean…when am I not, but it’s been in full swing lately.
