This Sunday marks something very important.

The Superbowl. Normally, this really wouldn’t be a big deal. Sure it’s fun to make football food, watch “good commercials” and questionable half-time performances but this year? The Packers are playing. While I’m more of a Brett fan than a Packer fan, that sweet guy I’m going to marry? Now, he is a Packer fan through and through.

No matter who you are cheering for though, good food is always essential to any party. Here are some of my favorite recipes to get you snacking for the Superbowl!

Sandwiches/Crock Pot:

What are you making for game day?

I’m a bad ‘Sconnie . . . I didn’t even know they were in the playoffs, until my mom told me they were in the Superbowl!

I don’t have a TV, and we’re not into sports, so I usually use the Superbowl as an excuse to get a bunch of errands done while the stores are dead! :)

Oh man you’re nachos look divine. Though we were rooting for the Jets, we are now onto the Pack since we really have issues with the Steelers :)

I’m going to try avoid watching the game at all costs – so I will not be making anything for it! :P

It isn’t Super Bowl in our house without Seven Layer Dip. Mmmm – I’m excited about it already! I’m intrigued by your Roasted Vegetable Cheese dip though….

i have no idea what i’m doing for the superbowl yet. most of my friends here in madison are from out of state and/or don’t really care about football. i’ll have to find someone to take pity on me and let me steal their tv for all of sunday!

Oh no! We are on opposite sides of the field! :) Steelers fans here, or at least I am by default because my hubs fam is from Pittsburgh. Regardless, game food is on tap. I’m going to make a fave drunken dog recipe (cocktail weiners in bourbon sauce) with some pastured, local smoked brats we picked up over the weekend. The market we get them at also sells wings so we are all set!

Everything here sounds amazing! Truffled deviled eggs?! Oh mama! I’ve only had the oil…is the salt worth buying too?

I’ll be cheering for the Packers because I’m a huge Aaron Rodgers fan (he went to Cal, which is my college team!) :-)
