welcome back

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas (or long weekend if you don’t celebrate!) I had an amazing weekend with family and soon-to-be family. I ate a lot of delicious food (think scallop chowder, pork roll breakfast sandwiches, beef tenderloin and home made eggnog) and enjoyed every minute of it! Please tell me you did one thing from my Holiday Health: Enjoying the Holidays post! (Thank you all for the wonderful feedback on my list of what you should do over the Holidays – I’m so glad you enjoyed it!)

I also decided to extend the bean pasta giveaway another day because of the Holiday weekend, so I will choose the winner tonight!

What was the best thing you ate over the weekend?

I DID skip my workout … and replace it with a dance session with my sister, as well as a walk with my mom in the snow. :)

I DID take a day (or 2) off the computer. It felt good. Really good.

I love your balanced perspective on health. Hope you had a Merry Christmas!

Let’s see . . . the best thing I ate? Um . . . I am so sick, food hasn’t been sounding very good. I did make some miso soup on Christmas Day that was pretty okay, and I have been eating a TON of cookies. And drinking a TON of tea. Ugh! I also had a cara cara orange — those are my favorite. :)

I’m glad you had a great Christmas!

The best thing I ever ate… Christmas… why, the head off of my chocolate santa, of course! Dark chocolate Santa, to be precise.

PS – I’d still love to win that soybean “pasta”! I have been eating a ton of quinoa lately, tonight I jazzed it up with some corn and toasted pine nuts. The pasta is oh so enticing though!!

I almost grabbed my laptop on Christmas Day while we were sitting around the house and I remembered your post and set it back down! I also skipped my workout on Christmas Day. The cocktails, well, they are still flowing with NYE coming up. ;) Scallop Chowder sounds amazing. My MIL made a great lasagna. It had been so long since I’d had one, it tasted so good!
